Automated waiver drafting. Not built. We name the waiver categories a non-compliant line may qualify for and cite the framework, but we do not draft or file the waiver request for you.
Metered API overage. Not built. Each paid plan's included monthly call allowance is a hard ceiling: when it is reached the API returns a rate_limited error rather than billing you for more. Nothing reports usage to Stripe, so we do not charge per call and we will not pretend to.
Manufacturer product registry. Not built. A pre-certified library of compliant components is on the roadmap; today you enter each component's origin yourself.
Every covered agency. Not built. BABA covers more than 60 programs; we ship OMB plus FHWA, EPA SRF and USDA Rural Development, and add agencies on request rather than guessing a standard we have not confirmed.

What does the free plan actually include?

The line-by-line calculator, running entirely in your browser so bill-of-materials data is never transmitted, every agency and waiver reference page with cited thresholds, and a test API key. No card. What free does not do is the recurring job: saved determination history, cross-agency compare, the audit-ready record export, or a production API key at volume.

Why isn't the free calculator enough for a repeat federal bidder?

Free genuinely determines one bill of materials, completely and honestly. A team bidding federally funded work every month needs the artifact trail: the saved verdict and the agency standard it was checked against, cross-agency compare when one BOM must clear several funding sources, and the audit-ready determination record as a document for the bid file. That recurring job is what Pro is for.

Do I need a paid plan to use the API?

No. Every endpoint works with no key at the anonymous rate, and a test API key is free on every plan, runs the real engine and ruleset, and never bills. A production key at your plan's quota is a Pro or Scale feature.

What is the difference between Pro and Scale?

Pro (Saved history - determination record export - cross-agency compare - 1,000 API calls/mo) fits an estimator or contractor bidding federally funded work every month. Scale (Everything in Pro - 10,000 API calls/mo - 5,000 BOM lines per run) is for manufacturers and products built on the determination API at higher volume.
